The first FReDA user conference is just around the corner: Titled "3 Years of FReDA: Families and Partnerships in Germany and Europe", analyses will be presented from 3 to 5 July 2023 that were predominantly developed with data from the FReDA panel or with data from pairfam or the GGS. The contributions not only present the latest research findings, but also show some of the potential of the datasets used, explain methodological challenges in the analysis of panel data and present innovative methodological approaches.
A total of 24 papers during six sessions will be presented at the conference:
- Gender Ideology and Partnership - Division of Household Labour - COVID-19 and Mental Health / Methods - Family Relations - Fertility and Family Planning - Arrangement of Paid Work and Care Work
With Prof. Dr Anne Gauthier, Director of the Generations and Gender Programme at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute, and Prof. Dr Karsten Hank, Principal Investigator for FReDA at the University of Cologne, two extraordinarily renowned researchers have been won as keynote speakers who will contribute important impulses to the discussion.
The FReDA user conference "3 Years of FReDA: Families and Partnerships in Germany and Europe" will take place at the Federal Statistical Agency in Wiesbaden. The deadline for submission of papers was November 2022.
The FReDA user conference is part of the conference "Turning Gold: Conference on the Occasion of BiB's 50th Anniversary", which takes place at the same time in Wiesbaden. As the title suggests, the occasion is the 50th anniversary of the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) in 2023.
