Declaration on Accessibility

The Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) strives to make the FReDA website accessible without barriers. The legal basis is the Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) in their current form.

What parts are not barrier-free?

Sub-sections that are not barrier-free are:
• Graphics: Some images and graphics in the data and survey design section are from third parties. The editorial team of FReDA has no influence on the accessibility of these visualisations.

Arbitration procedure

If no satisfactory solution is reached even after contacting the above-mentioned office, you can turn to the arbitration board according to § 16 BGG. The arbitration board has the task of supporting an out-of-court settlement of disputes between persons with disabilities and federal public bodies in the event of conflicts on the topic of accessibility. This procedure is free of charge. Legal counsel is not required.

You can find all information about the arbitration procedure on the website of the arbitration board. There you can read how an arbitration procedure works and how to submit an application for arbitration. You can also submit the application in plain language or in German sign language.
